Your brain is so much better focusing on survival than focusing on being happy, because your brain (subconscious) is constantly scanning for threats. Your brain default setting is to keep you alive by paying attention to anything threatening or dangerous.
Everyone knows what depression feels like, but did you know scientific research studies came to the conclusion that depression isn’t a serotonin chemical imbalance. Lets talk about some of the things we CAN do when we feel depressed.
1. Get lots of sunlight and take vitamin D, zinc, and magnesium especially during the winter; however, it’s important to know when to take it and what NOT to combine it with is essential. It’s a shame some manufacturers are NOT giving us pure ingredients and we’re consistently seeking quality products; however, there are products out there that do work.
2. Get plenty of rest and go easy with sugar intake. In my opinion, this can be tricky. Some people can sleep 4-6 hours and be refreshed and some people need more hours; however, if you’re not feeling rested when you wake up, you did not get a good night’s sleep. Check your circadian rhythm. This video is for information purposes.

The best advise I can give you is to know your body and thoughts.
